You can extend the life of your mascara by weeks if you add a few drops of water! Start with one drop, you can always add more, and in another week or two, add a few more drops.
Also, I’ve tried many, many mascaras ($20-30, whatever, I’ll pay a premium for rockstar lashes) but to my surprise, I keep going back to old faithful…L’oreal. This stuff rocks and you can find it at Walgreens, Walmart, Target, etc. Just remember 12X, color: Blackest Black, and I don’t use waterproof.
Hope this tip helps stretch your dollar! If you have any makeup tips, please do share.

Never heard of the water tip – thanks for sharing! I use another Loreal mascara, which I like, but now I think I’ll give that one a try.

Thanks for the tip, Stacy! To add to it, when my mascara is low or getting a bit dry, tightly closed I let it sit in a cup of hot water for a few minutes, this will give a few extra days of fresh mascara.
Enjoy!
Is there a way to re-moisten waterproof mascara? I see that you don’t use it on a daily basis and I’m heading off to CVS to pick up the Loreal that you recommended. Thanks for the tip.
I work with Hospice and have 24 hour shifts. The waterproof is what I like to use when my work expects me stay in the home without caring for my makeup so I do use it.
Thanks for your help Stacy!
