Ohhhhh…I’m really loving this color pallet mixed with white or cream. When I meet a client for the first time, they almost always focus on “color” for the walls, but I challenge them to let the things inside the room and on the walls be the focal point. Yes, initially it will look like a contractor went crazy with his spray gun and white paint, but it all comes together once the furnishings and accessories are in place. Notice in the dining room the “plain” white walls and “plain” white drapes (I usually get this comment and a crazy look when I suggest something like this), but my, don’t they look amazing in the room!

The piece above is titled Contemplation by artist Mallory Page Chastant. She is one of my top 5 favorite artists at a the moment, and I have had the pleasure of seeing many of her pieces in person at Phoebe Howard’s beautiful Atlanta showroom. She recently opened a studio in New Orleans, which I haven’t had a chance to visit yet. Field trip anyone?

Can you see why Mrs. Howard would want to feature her work!?
