5 Favorite Showrooms From Market

“To the Trade”. Have you heard that term? Well, one of the places designers go to find exclusive furniture & accessories is Furniture Market in Highpoint, North Carolina. Many of the factories are located  in this city, and for one week the entire town turns into a shopping mecca! There are over 2,000 exibitors & 10 million square feet of showspace…yes, you heard me right. You will see the most flats (shoes) on chicks in the history of fashion.

Last week was definitely stimulation overload! From photos and book signings with Mary McDonald & Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Million Dollar Decorators, to an invitation for an Architectural Digest party. I didn’t want to come home!

Let me introduce you to Global Views. They take the cake when it comes to merchandising & products. They are on trend and their showroom is always packed out. You don’t even know how many people I had to shoo out the space. (‘sckooze me m’am, I’m trying to get the perfect shot for my blog….) As for color trends, grey was everywhere and turquoise & lime is still hot, hot, hot!

Pearson has been around for many decades, but boy have they made a major design shift in the last few years! There are some really glamourous things coming out of this factory & my jaw drops every time I see a new occasional piece.
